Amazon just bought Zappos for $807M in stock and $40M in cash. From a money standpoint, if Amazon thought their stock price was over valued, buying w/ stock is a great idea.  Investors thought so.  The stock is up 1.36% after the announcement. So did Amazon overpay?  I guess we'll see.  That $807M in stock could turn into $500M or $1B depending on where Amazon's stock price goes. You can vote comments up like Digg.com, but the most recent comments always get way more publicity than the older comments. Maybe the author should decide how to move comments up or down, but his is impractical b/c who has the time. This leads to another question: "Why am I asking myself, why am I doing this?.  I think this is a dangerous scenario to avoid. I guess in the end, action is better than inaction; and success is better than failure.
